Trains and more that GO!
At Early Learning Classes this term trains and transport are on the GO! and of course, STOP.Children learn self discipline and self confidence through routines that allow them to make decisions about movement."Are the stop lights red or green?" What do we do when they are red?" "When can we go again?" The popular "Rig-A-Jig-Jig and Away We Go" circle song gets children moving to a marching beat for the verse then breaks into a lovely bumpy 6/8 beat that encourages skipping. Rig-A-Jig all the way to the Train Station and then discover whether the lights are red, yellow or green. What colour do you think they are?"Down by the Station" singing all the way, changing the words as we go to reflect the movements children are choosing...clapping, stomping, swaying and more. Check out the words in the 3-4 year section of Early Learning Music.
